Hello, not sure if anyone here can help but figured it was worth a shot. I am just finishing up a project car which is a 1999 Firebird with the 3.8 and it has the drive by wire system as you know for that year. I removed the throttle pedal assembly with TAC module and took the pedal off to plan on using the bracket for an earlier pedal and cable setup but since changed plans.
My problem is the plastic link that connects the throttle pedal to the arm on the TAC module is cracked and I cannot find a replacement. The dealer shows this part being not servicable, the whole pedal and bracket assembly has been discontinued but available for $140 OUCH! Has anyone had to replace this link or know where to source a new one? I was going to try a local hobby shop and see if they can match up the size, it is a 5/16" ball end and roughly 3/4" center to center. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help
