  • Gauge Help

    Hi everyone,

So i have an autometer triple gauge piller in my car that was professionally installed by the previous owner. The Volt meter started acting funny so I disconnected it (loose connection). When I went to hook everything back up I must have brushed the wire up against something live and now my volt meter and water temp gauge are completely burnt out. The air/fuel gauge still works perfectly fine but the other two do not light up and the needle doesnt move. Do you think I blew both the gauges or just a fuse? please let me know. Thanks!

    Re: Gauge Help

My guess would be a fuse. Have you checked the ones in the door jamb yet?

      Re: Gauge Help

thanks for the reply, nothing else seemed to burn out/stop working in the car so I wouldnt think it would be a fuse that came from the factory? What do you think?

        Re: Gauge Help

It'd be worth looking at before you pull the pillar off. There may very likely be an in-line fuse installed next to the gauges though.
