I removed every thing off my intake manifold the other day to install new gaskets. When i was done i had realized i lost a vacuum hose. Please view this pic. Now when my engine is running i can hear the vacuum leak. The engine runs and drives great, just that i would like to know what this goes to. Any help would be great, thanks http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261/9

my '01 car does not look exactly like that. I do have two vac hoses that come off of something like the 'upper black manifold mount' as in your pic...but not the lower one where you have a hose missing.
So, on my car two hoses come off that thing...one connects to the fuel pressure regulator on the drives side fuel rail and the other goes over near the PCM/heater core bulkhead. it connects into an HVAC related "T".
try checking over there...near the PCM.
hopfully somebody with a 97 or similar will jump on board this thread. that is a good quality pic and it is easy to see what is going on/missing.
good luck.

I will go out and check my car right now a sec. It is in the barn being stored until next friday.

I couldn't tell where it went with mine. Stupid Strut tower bar in the way making it pretty much impossible to slip my hand back there. Here is a pic of mine, but it doesn't tell you anything unfortunetely.

It did have a 90* bend and went to the back of the engine though, that is all that I could tell.

I replaced that sensor once and found that there isn't a hose for that line. It took me about 3 hours to search all over the car because I thought I lost it. A co-worker had a 3.8 just like mine and she came over so I could look at her setup, and there wasn't a vac line on her sensor either...
I just blocked it off with an old piece of vac line that is plugged on the end.sigpic

Thank you, so im not crazy. It does have a little 90 degrees elbow that goes on it, i guess ill clogg that elbow and put it back on. Now the only question is, why do i hear the vacuum leaknow, and never did before? I did clean it really good, maybe it was clogged with dirt, thanks guyshttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.
