Hey, can anyone explain exactly what happens when the diaphragm collapses in a fuel pressure regulator?

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator...
Mine got a hole in it. Effects I saw were misfire, hard-start when warm, and bank 2 rich.
What was actually going on was that the regulator was allowing fuel to run into the vacuum line on the MAP putting extra unregulated fuel into the chambers.
Not fun, took me forever to find.
Easiest tests are to pull the vacuum line off and see if there is fuel in it, and to check the fuel pressure (Key on engine off) it it pumps up to normal and then bleeds down your FPR is probably bad
