  • How to remove 5speed pedals?

how would i remove the pedal assembly? i need it for a 5-speed swap on another car. what all would i need..the clutch resivoir bottle from under the hood, and the whole clutch/brake/gas assembly? or just the clutch pedal?

any help asap would be appreciated. about to junk the car and wanted to hurry up and take the pedals off. in case i throw a 6speed in my 93 z28 later on.

Take the master, resivior and lines out from under the hood. Make sure to get the u-bolt that holds the master. The u-bolt that holds the master also holds a brace for the clutch pedal.

There are 4 nuts around the brake pedal and two at the gas pedal. Unplug the brake and cruise switches on the brake pedal, the neutral safety and crusie switch on the clutch pedal and pull the throttle cable out of the gas pedal. You will have to drop the column down some for clearance to remove the pedals, then just wiggle it out. Its a tight fit but it will come.

You need all three since they are all connected together unless your working on a DBW car.....

edit: if your junking the donor car, clip the wires for all the switches on the pedals way back from the connections so you have them and plenty of extra wire for putting them in the new car.
