  • 97-02 Seat back adjustment

Hey, I have a question. I am in the process of getting some Camaro seats for my Firebird. Yeah, sounds crazy. I prefer the non-headrest on the Camaro seats. However, the seats I've located have broken handles for the seat adjusment back. Is there any way to fabricate something or am I better off just getting some others off other seats or better to look for other seats?

    Re: 97-02 Seat back adjustment

I know exactly what you're talking about. I just found out my passenger side handle is broken in two. Must've been my drunken friend snapping it and never told me about it, some pal lol.

Anyways, you're better off finding another handle assembly from a parts yard if they have enough junked 4th Gens available for you.

You can cross reference other vehicles too while you're there. I have seen the Gran Prix GTP seats installed in a Firebird for comfort. This was at a car show and an interesting swap.

A '96 Grand Am seat assembly would work but depend on your height or how your back feels during extended cruising.

Let's include the '96-'97 Trans Am WS6 or SS seats if you want leather touch.

Bottom line, stick with the 4th Gen seats as most of them are considered a popular upgrade for the 3rd Gen F-Body crowd.

I found this link for '93-'02 GM Interior Parts >> http://www.moderndaymuscle.com/interior3?start=80
