  • WS6 Fuel Pump

    Hey guys,
Anyone know if a fuel pump/sender from a 2000 WS6 will fit my '01 Camaro 3.8? Is it the same pump or different fuel lines or sender or something?
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

That's what I wanted to hear. Thank you so much.
I just picked one up from ebay for $40 w/warrantee. I only needed it for the sender, tho.

It's not any better than what is already in your car.

It'll fit and work fine but Im pretty sure the WS6 pump flows more volume... so if you ever added a power adder it'll work better.

Did you not read what I typed? No it doesn't. Bad info.

              Re: WS6 Fuel Pump

I probably will not be adding a power adder any time soon, if ever. So high flow doesn't matter. Although, isn't the WS6 an LS1 car? In which case they have higher volume pumps, don't they? The only thing I might do is a cam later on. But full exhaust has to come first. I really just need the pump for the sending unit (gas guage doesn't work.) The pump itself seems to work fine. In fact, I'm considering just swapping my current pump into the new assembly. I am not sure that is even posible, tho. Anybody know?

Yes you can swap your pump into the LS1 assembly. However, the LS1 assembly also contains a regulator, which yours does not. I'd advise you to remove the regulator. Also, IT DOESN'T FLOW ANY MORE.

Im pretty sure the LSX pumps DO flow more as its why its necessary to change the fuel pump when performing an LSX swap... They pump the same PSI...or close to the same... but the volume is much different and I will prove this if you can wait till I get home (posting from my phone)
