225/55/16 fit?

My car is a 97 with stock alloy 16x8 5 stars, and came with the 245/50/16's. Will 225/55/16 fit ok on these rims. I can get some really good used ones cheap off a co-worker who just bought rims for his caddy.

Yes but you will lose a little performance/cornering ability.

yes, they will fit fine.

i have 225/60/16 on my car, and they dont look funny, the 55's might look weird though because there will be so much wheel well showing.
