  • Autometer fuel guage bad????

Sorry for the last post I should have worded it differently. OK this is my problem... I have a Autometer fuel pressure gauge. It was working just fine but I noticed the other day that it wasn't moving. Right now it stays on 30psi. When you first turn the car on the needle would move but now doesn't do anything. Even when the car is running and I am giving it gas it still stays on 30psi. What I'm wondering is if it is possible if the gauge is bad or maybe I'm not checking something right... I checked out all the wiring and it seems to be fine. Any info on this would be great again sorry about the last post being confusing

The pressure sensor is dead. It's happened to me a few times now with the exact same gauge (nitrous press gauge too ). You can order them separately for about $50.

see if they have some type of warranty, since this seems like a common problem they may just replace it for free.. autometer seems like a reputable company

thanks everyone :) Yea I just didn't want to go ripping into the wiring trying to chase down something that isn't there. I figured it may be a bad sending unit but just wanted to make sure.
Shodown, You know where I can get one for 50 bucks??? Got a website at all??? Because all I am seeing them for are 100+

I bought my last one 2.5 years ago so the price may have jumped. I'll see what I can find for ya.

I just check a few places and they are twice as expensive as they were a few years ago. Sorry dude, but I cant find one less than $93 and that was on Ebay.
