Re: FFS now she dies at idle
I'll also add that when the car dies, the only way it will start is if I use the throttle...

Re: FFS now she dies at idle
How sure are you? I haven't had a high idle like I've been reading about...? I have had to drive with two feet to keep it running at idle though...

Re: FFS now she dies at idle
I PM'd ya...I think the sensor will probably be 40$ or so...I f'n stripped one of the bolts holding the SOB in there...I'll probably run over to partsource at 9am, but send me a text anyways...I really hope it is the IAC...Im getting scared to drive this thing...I cant seem to rely on it anymore, its crapping out at the most inoppurtune times. I cant keep being stranded in the middle of intersections.
BTW, she seems to run ok when cold...was just when she was warm that she was having the issue...im guessing because she idles at around 850 when warm...still no codes, and she drives great, no weird sounds etc.

Re: FFS now she dies at idle
Do you hear the idle control motor working? You can pull the air temp sensor out heat it with a blow dryer then have someone turn ignition on and off but do not start car. Listen to the motor it should make a clicking sound as the air temp sensor cools down the idle control motor will move in. If you have access to a scan tool you can use that too.
