i have had my 96 firebird for four years allways has had a bent oil pan like someone ran over a curb and it got pushed up no biggie rite WROUNG. i spun 4 rod bearings for no apparent reason toke motor apart come to find out the oil pan being push up blocked the oil pick and it oil starved. 4 rod bearings, all cam bearings, the brass balance shaft bearing, all tore to peices and the front timing cover tore up too did not hurt cam or cylinder walls wat type of bs is that so make sure to check that next time u have got a chance

Seems kinda odd that it took four years+ to happen. Does your oil pressure gauge work?
I'm wondering if your oil pump recently failed.
