alternative to 85 dollar a/c dryer filteraccumulator

is there a cheaper alternative to replacing our a/c dryer filters? i removed my motor and evacuated the system, i didn't cap the dryer, so i want to replace it but 85 dollars is ridiculous. there are used ones on ebay that aren't capped off for like 50 dollars.. wtf!
