Trying to replace mine without taking the steering shaft out...got the old switch out, how do I get the new cable in? and is there a certain way of putting it in there? What about getting the metal shaft back in that comes from the steering wheel side?

    Re: ignition switch

I tried to do mine and ended up having to buy a whole new column for $80 from a 00' SS camaro. Good luck with it.

            Re: ignition switch

i did mine no issues. youre talking about the cylinder lock right? or the switch itself. I did the ignition lock apart and back together in about 1 hour.
