So I drive my car to work today, runs fine. Go to leave for lunch and there is a huge vibration, shaky through first and second(since I was afraid to go too fast), and a horrible smell. After getting the opinion of a couple of friends, we think it may be a clogged cat. After messing around with it some more, I found my back driver side plug wire had melted to the exhaust manifold. PAIN IN THE ***. So I go and replace the wires, in the freezing cold, on asphalt with no jack. Just a heads up what to look for if your car starts acting weird.

that sucks, any reason that it melted to the manifold? was it wired wrong or something?

i had the same thing. My middle wire on the drivers side touched the manifold and melted. To make it worse, i bought the accel Ferro's, had a shop install them, and 2 days after i got them, it melted. I was so pissed, but the shop said they had them all in looms and wouldnt rework it. I was mad as hell. Pain in the butt to get too.

I guess the reason it happened was when I replaced the wires after buying the car, there were no looms in place, so I didn't realize there was a danger of it till now
