My car finally pissed me off so much that I am getting rid of it. I just had it towed due to the failure of the 2ND fuel pump! It also needs an AC compressor soon and a strut mount. I have already put tons of money into it an it keeps getting worse. It's only a 99 with 58K miles!!! I can't believe what a pile of crap it is! I bought it brand new and took care of it and all it does is break every couple of months. Sorry to say after 2 F-bodies, I am retiring from GM vehicles. I can't afford to spend all my disposable income on car repairs.

i know how you feel though... when i got my car, something went wrong with it once a week for the first 6 weeks. since then only one problem which was a dirty injector. $2 on a bottle of injector cleaner and it was fixed. i heart my car.1996 Pontiac Firebird
Black, 3.8L A4

I feel your pain. I've owned 3 of these things, I'm done after the 99 I have now does its time with me.
I'm finally going to get a Mustang, like I've always wanted since I was very young anyway...it's just everytime I've been in the market for a car, the f-bodies have always been more reasonably priced. I don't want to hear that they break down just as much, because they probably do, but they're much cheaper to fix, and EASIER to fix than these cars.
Sounds like you got one lemon of a car man, I've only had a few minor problems with my 99 that has 101k on it now.-1999 Camaro Coupe 3800 Series II V6 A4 - SOLD
-1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP coupe

GM makes fine automobiles, just because your fuel pump broke after 50k miles doesn't mean your car is a total POS. Every person on this board has had or knows someone that has had a lemon vehicle but I'd hardly consider your problems substantial. If the 2nd fuel pump went out it's because it was never installed right in the first place, or something else in your fuel system is malfunctioning instead.
Don't make excuses to buy a Ford or an Import, just do it. Even Cadillacs and Roles Royces break down sometimes, get over it!2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

I personally would want a Cobalt SS...they are just so damn sexy in black! After finishing college, I hope to get a Cobalt, new or used, as a daily driver. 1996 5spd Silver Camaro
- Removed airbox, replaced with performance filter.

Many of GM vehicles are fine and many are not. My family has had almost all GM cars for the last 20 years and they've been great. A couple lasted 14 years. But my Camaro, and another recent car my parents had have been ridiculously horrible. I don't know what happened.
The fuel pump went at 30K and was replaced under warranty by the dealer who I assume know what they're doing. Now it's gone again at 58K. That's not normal under any circumstances.
Price? Haven't thought about it. It's a 99 Y87 Automatic loaded...Monsoon, T-tops, Chrome rims, SS exhaust. I'd love to get $9000 for it.1999 Y87 Camaro
Whisper Lid, SLP SS Takeoff Exhaust
