Gas milage bad whats going on??

I have a 2001 camaro v6 3.8 with a 700r4 yes a 700r4 not and electronic tranny anyways I used to get like 245 miles on a full tank now im only getting around 140 everytime i recent oil change switched out fuel pump and no engine light anymore Everything is up to date dose anyone know some stuff i can try, i already tried buying some injector cleaner and running that but no help some please this car is too expensive now to run im thinkin about a stupid honda now

You used to get 245 miles to a tank? That's only 15.8 mpg. That's so bad. I thought the 25 mpg I'm getting was bad.

Are you getting any check engine lights? X2 on the performance change / loss of power?

Things to replace / check for better milage:

Big MPG Stealers: (breathing/combustion issues)
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Spark Plugs
Wires / Coil Packs if getting misfires
Check for clogged cat (will struggle to rev high / loss of power / cat glowing red after driving)
Clean MAF screen if dirty
Remove lead from foot

Lessor MPG stealers:
Alignment
Tire Pressure
Shocks
Wheel bearings (jack car up - see if any wheels don't spin very freely)

know anyone with hp tuners or some kind of data logging software?

Could be bad coilpacks, plugs, wires, or ICM. You could be misfiring, but not enough to throw an SES code.

How are you getting 500 miles to a tank??? I have a 5 speed too.

If I really push it, I can squeeze about 325 out of a tank (in the winter not running a/c.) Mine is also a 5 spd, and most days I remember to take my anti-leadfoot pill.

Back to the OP:
-Have you checked for fuel leaks? In the tank or at fuel filter fittings, etc?
-Tranny slipping, or bad torque converter? (I didn't know a 700r4 would even bolt up in our cars to a v6.)
-X3 on the O2 sensors, clogged air filter, MAF screen, CAT.
