  • Yet another O2 sensor question.

Just purchased my very first Camaro last week, its a '99 with the 3.8L V6, and I absolutely love it. Can't wait to drive it in the snow.

    Well....

Already the damn SES light has came on but its just an O2 sensor. Here's the error code...

HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 3

Now...I would like to replace it myself. Can someone tell me which sensor this is or provide some documentation that shows me and I can go from there.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, is there an online resource with this type of documentation? Free?

I pretty sure that its the one after the cat could be wrong though. And you can go to auto zone give them 15 dollars for the tool used to remove it and get the 15 dollars back once you return their tool. Its simple.

      Thanks for the reply.

I was thinking it was the one after the cat as well. Hopefully its easy enough to get to.

Is this as simple as I think it is? Unplug wire, replace sensor, plug in wire. ?
