what is this called.....

I got oil leaking from here do you all know what this is called? Is this hard to take off. It smokes really bad cause the oil drips off onto the exhaust.

I don't see a picture but I'm gonna take a stab and say it's the rear main seal since those are prone to leak before most other parts would.

It has a cover on it and when i slide it up a lot of oil under it.

This part goes into the oil filter unit.How does this unhook the cable goes right into the wire harness.

What the heck is that? That doesn't look familiar to me. The oil filter is on the other side of the engine.. What year is your car? Can you get a pic from underneath?

Oh btw, I think that's a oil pressure sensor but it's in a weird location. If it's anything like the normal one it just unscrews but there's got to be a clip or plug somewhere to remove it from the harness. It looks like someone might have rigged this for whatever reason and possibly hardwired it into the harness. Look for butt-connectors or shrink tube along the wiring under the wiring loom.

Thanks guys thats it oil pressure sensor.Its a a 27mm to take it off,took 15 min.

yea mine is on the front of the block. maybe its a 3.4 or some other motor that idk well

I searched around everywhere.. I couldn't find any good pics of a 3.4 pressure sensor. Or any pics of one installed at all for that matter..

I did find some very different headlights for firebirds that I'll bring to attention on a different thread.

That is the oil level sensor.

yea blizzard i have a 3.4 and thats where the sensor goes
