What are the specs for the Fuel Pumps on our cars?
What is their LPH and how much PSI do they flow?

I believe its 190LPH. Not sure on PSI because it depends on fuel pressure.

I always have questions, so here is one. If it is 190 liters per hour, that'd be 50.19 gallons per hour or 0.84 gallons per minute... That doesn't sound right. Or is the 190LPH just like a maximum?

Sorry for the dumb question and changing the subject...

I've heard somewhere that you need .5lb/hr fuel for each HP.

"Flow is based on HP. You typically need .5lb/hr fuel for each HP.
        About 6.2lb/gal gas & 3.77 liters/gal, translates to roughly 3.25hp/liter/hr of fuel."

based on the math, our stock fuel pumps should be more than enough to handle a stock LS1 engine (350 HP requires a minimum of 96.5 LPH) even with the volume between the two pumps being different...

Turbo'ing changes things because the bsfc changes so things are calculated alittle different and you need more LPH per HP to sustain it.

(3.6 HP per liter / hour)
        (1 Liter = 1.64 lbs of gas)
        (1.64 lbs of gas = 3.28 HP)

With that said I should be okay using a stock 5.3L as well... right?

These are the MAX specs for your fuel pump... remember its only going to pump as much as your engine can burn at any given time... so you're not always going to be driving around burning a gallon per minute ( which a stock 3.8 isnt capable of doing anyway )

Sounds like it would handle the 5.3.

              What is your HP goal?

The stock V6 pump should handle a bolt on 5.3 without issue.

The flow is related to discharge pressure. In this case @STP.
