how many miles? over 100k I wouldnt bother, that gunk might be holdin that engine together haha.
As for the OP - O2's brought me down from 27 MPG Highway to 23... so it will make a fairly large difference.. plugs / wires can too but they typically don't do a tremendous number unless you're misfiring.1997 Camaro RS W/T-Tops<br />All Stock / 200 HP

Re: Mpg
When i go up a hill there is a harsh hesitation like it hits a wall then it will clear up and go on. SOmetimes it will idle so low it wants to cut off then shoots back up. And my oil presuure gauge drops at idle then goes back up when I take off will stay up as long as I don't stop

3800 Series II
I have over 350K now and accomplished that by religious sythetic oil changes. EGR valve and annual spark plug swaps. Your plugs will tell you clues about the engine combustion characteristics in each cylinder. I caught valve stem seal oil leaks and slightly loose rocker arms to reach this milestone. It doesnt smoke black, blue or white smoke either now. To me this is the key for long engine life.
MPG was the subject asked, everyone chimed in with great ideas. I'd include annual coolant, transmission and rear end differential fluid changes as well. I'm still on the factory stock drivetrain with 4 decent brand tires all around.Black \'96 RS Camaro, 3.8 V6 Series II, M5, Stock 200 HP, 204K miles!
