Car randomly wont start / weak start

Sometimes when I turn the key it will turn and turn and nothing happens and then I can turn it again RIGHT after and it cranks up just fine. Other times it will turn and give a weak turnover and die before it gets started and once again I can turn it right after and it will crank RIGHT up ...but just last night I turned the key and absolutely NOTHING happened at all except all the lights came on almost like the battery was dead but then I tried again and it cranks RIGHT up...

It usually seems like a dieing battery but I made sure all the posts were good and even checked my connections and no corrosion ... the battery was tested fine and its not even a year old ...what does this sound like to you?

I would get your battery checked again. Sometimes you can take them in and they check out fine, but when you take them back it is in fact dead. If you can take your battery out of the car and let it sit over night, then get someone to take you to get it checked.

Have you noticed if this is mostly on hot or cold start-ups?

Both. Its honestly done Alittle better on cold starts than warm.starts but its still present both times.

It's not the battery. I took it out and had it checked at two different places. Any other ideas?

I found out what it was...its finished ... the motor is blown... I was driving home and it started running funny and then there was smoke everywhere... I park it and find a huge puddle of oil all over the pavement... the engine is soaked...exhaust is spewing steam...its toast.
