    Re: lean and misfire

I was using HP tuners on it, I am VE tuned, so the MAF is set to fail anyways, plus I unplugged it with no change.

I would like to not think about loosing compression. I would like to think though that if I was loosing compression would I not be seeing any kind of KR?

Crank sensor is that piece that plugs in right behind the crank pulley...where is the cam sensor again?

here is the vacuum piece I was referring to earlier. I guess it's tough to see, but I have one vacuum hose behind my fingers that hooks into the fuel rail, and a really big hose to the right of my finger that goes to the TB, and then this empty nipple?

        Re: lean and misfire

I believe that's the EVAP canister purge solenoid or valve.

I haven't really worked on that, but I think that thing has a diaphram inside that can rip. I don't know if the symptoms is similar to that of an EGR valve when in the older model when the daiphram rips it affects the idling of the car.

I don't think that can cause a misfire though, I could be wrong.

So if it's not MAF, then my 2nd guess would be O2 sensors. IDK I'm just throwing ideas around. That's what so hard with heavily modified cars.

So there isn't supposed to be a vacuum line on that nipple?

As for the O2 sensors...I thought once you run a tune on your car with a wideband you don't need o2 sensors lol?

I didnt have a hose connected there either. Surely that is where the evap purges to atmosphere.

Perfect, just checking...at the shop now, just tried swapping the ICM with no luck.

I would expect that if it were a spark problem you'd be rich not lean as it wouldn't be burning all the fuel. could be your FPR is acting up, try checking the fuel pressure both running and key on engine off.

you can try unplugging the injectors one by one while the engine is running and see how much it makes a difference

                  Re: lean and misfire

apparently it took both a spare ICM and 3 coil packs and the car seemed to be running great, which pisses me off because I just bought that ICM from Autozone last year and the f'n coil packs, and I GURANTEE I don't have the flipping receipts.

I'll confirm the fix tomorrow when we investigate a little more.

You shouldn't need the receipts. You should be in their system...
