  • Help! diagnosis

I drove home from work 2 days ago and the car was running fine. I parked it then went inside my house for about an hour. I went back out to start the car again and out of the blue my car was misfiring at idle and trembling when in gear also the check engine light was flashing.

I scanned it with my 2 cent scanner and it came up with four codes P0154- no activity bank 2 sensor 1
    P0300- random multiple misfire
    then they repeat.

So yesterday I replaced plugs 'n wires hoping it would work and it did kinda. I replaced plug 'n wire 1 then started the car and it ran fine no misfire at all even in gear. Then I shut it off to work on the rest of them. I tried to start the car again after all were replaced and it was misfiring again. Can anyone explain this? What is my next move? I think the o2 has to go.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks fellas

    Re: Help! diagnosis

If it's actually random cylinders, I'd look at coils and fuel.

      Re: Help! diagnosis

The flashing check engine light is a big problem either a stuck injector open or not firing at all, then I would test your coils and ICM.

Just wondering here but couldnt it be a bad O2 Sensor? No activity on bank 2 sensor 1 (Pre Cat sensor which is necessary for the engine to run... random misfires would occur because improper fuel / timing.)

I don't think his check engine light would come on for a O2 sensor though. It would just throw a code.

The flashing check engine light is a misfire,so its fuel or spark.

It could be an injector,ICM or coil pack.

Most of the time its the CP.
