  • DADO additive results

    I have a 2K 3.8 Camaro with a rebuilt engine out of a wreck.
Was getting 15mpg and oil pressure was not as good as the original
engine sometimes moving into the red (low)
Read about this additive and bought it on Amazon.
Added the product to my oil and drove the car...so far...853 miles.
Just checked the last tank of gas...269 miles driven 15.1 gallons to fill up
= 17.81 mpg...the best I have had before this product is 16mpg but mostly
its been 15 mpg. Oil pressure no longer goes into the red and it a bit
higher in all driving. I never drive long distances.
    So looks like it works.

Well it is a slight improvement. I'm doing 23-25 MPG and not being nice to it lol! Granted mine is far from stock and sporting an extra gear.

I get on average 28 hwy on a mostly incline hwy and at best 31 on my trip to Vegas. I do baby the gas pedal and keep the rpm low.

And my bird has a SC in it with a high flow cat and borla exhaust.

Try having your injectors cleaned, change your plugs/wires, change air filter, change cat and exhaust and just do an overall tune and see if you get an even better gas mileage.

Here is the EPA from the sticker when this car was brand new.
Gas Mileage figures tend to be about 20% more than U can
actually get.It says 19 MPG for city driving and 29 for highway
          FOR A BRAND NEW CAR...

There are a lot of factors in MPG numbers. Some people get higher MPG #s than the sticker says, some get lower.

I take EPA figures with more than a grain of salt. My MPG amounts are also primarily city driving (90-95%). My engine is running at a more optimum level than stock though. I was doing 19-20ish city with my big ol' 3800 stall.

Not all cars of the same production line are created equal, and not one driver is the same in their manners/style behind the wheel.

If you're running synthetic oil, you might want to look into running conventional, might help with older/worn out bearings that aren't keeping the pressure quite as high as it used to.
