    Weird problem

    Long time since I have been here. Been lucky to not have any problems on my 94 3.4 Bird with 317,000 miles. Now I have a problem. Last week, coming home from work, car was acting up, tach and speedo was going crazy. Pulled over to a parking lot, open the hood and scratched my head. Shut hood, restarted car and drove home, no problems. Let it sit for 4 days, replaced fuel filter because I haven't done that in a couple of years. Doesn't start, has spark only when it wants. Took ign module off and to the parts house, tested good. Took it to another parts house b/c I didnt' trust the first one. Still tested good. So I put it back on, drove for about 2 miles, engine got hot started acting up again.

    Can a module check good and be bad? Or any other suggestions.

    that happened to me about 2 months ago on my 3.8 i drove for 2 hours then it did that on the way back but ever sence that day it has not done it, i never figured out what it was . people told me it was a vacume leak but i dont think that could cause it hope you find out what it was.

      Changed the module, so far so good. :) Let's see how long it lasts.
