Hi all,
My 99 3.8 BIRD will easily fire up then she shuts down. I can hear the fuel pump spool up so thats working. Have immediate power then she dies. Obviously has spark so what do y'all think?
Oops 3.8, my bad. 214,000 miles new coils and yes they are wired right. she been running great then took a dump tonight. Appreciate your help. Even toasted a v6 stang last night here in Nashville.
Thanks for the advice all. I took some advice from a friend and used a pencil eraser on my key. Running great now. Guess the stock security system wasnt reading the key right. I never did get any codes but the security light was on and still stays on for a couple miles after start-up. Might be having BCM issues, lost the inside lights, rear defrost and horn. I was sure proud to cross over 214,000 miles.

Yeah I have a remote start that does the same thing at times. Starts up just fine then shuts off almost immediately. Just gonna reaffirm what everyone else is saying, the BCM/security system.
