New to the forum although I use the information all the time. My son has a 3.4 v6 and the pipe that has a quick disconnect above the water pump that goes in the lower intake manifold is leaking. not at the threads but at the quick disconnect part. any sugestions how to get this to stop. the threaded part that threads into the manifold is new.-thanks

Don't mess with the cooling system...these cars have a habit of overheating and throwing a rod then its time for a new engine....it happened to me AFTER..I replaced
all hoses, radiator, intake gasket...it was determined to throw a rod and it did.

Lancer, post a pic if you can. It might just need to have the hose replaced.

You also tossed bars leak into it. The rods aren't directly connected to the cooling system, only thing I can think that caused that is you overheated it again, popped a headgasket and hydrolocked your motor, thus causing you to chunk a rod.

It sounds like something wasn't tightened properly and it's causing a coolant leak. I don't know exactly where that leak is till we see the pic, but this could be nothing more than applying a proper torque spec with it. IDK.
