  • Vibration after new clutch and flywheel replacment

I am having a vibration problem that im trying to figure out! I have a 2000 base Camaro 3.8 5 speed, my slave went so I replaced everything as far as clutch kit, slave, bilot bearing, and bought a new flywheel, After installing everything now I have a vibration while setting still, its smooth at idle but as I run up the rpms, it starts at 1500, and gets at its worst at around 2000. Its not like shaking my teeth out but its there and I can feel it even while driving. The clutch kit is an Exedy and came with slave, I bought flywheel separate at a reputable auto parts store witch they had to order for me!! The vibration wasn't there before the clutch change!

Either your clutch plate or your flywheel is not properly balanced.

No way to fix that other than taking it out and having it balanced correctly.

Ok im thinking its a imbalanced flywheel because of the holes drilled in it, Do you happin to know what the proper imbalance is for them? and does the pressure plate and flywheel need to be bolted together when balanced?

the tranny mount is new and tight, Just sucks because this car for a 2000 is absolutely mint, totally all original, even the clutch I took out was the original, it still has the original tires, only reason I had to take it all apart is because the slave blew out(leaking and lost pressure when you held the clutch to the floor for a couple seconds). so I replaced everything with new parts, clutch, pp, slave, pilot bearing, slave line to master, flywheel, tranny mount, and universals.. I did all the work myself and everything went together nice and smooth.. very disappointing to end up with a vibration!!
