Uhh... there's no ball! The pressure spring sits in a small cylindrical cup, and that's it..? I have my stock om in a box.

And I would not get rid of the pressure reg. spring..

Ok but what asking is if the oil bypass valve is blocked off then the spring serves mo purpose at all since no oil can can through the valve right?

the fitting is going to coorelate with the drill bit and tap you use. i don't even know what size this hole is but when it comes to npt fitting. 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" are the most popular. the filter is soft aluminum and super easy to tap.

In the process of doing this now. I drilled out the bypass. Wad super easy. And you have to be a complete idiot to mess it up. Its pretty safe to drill into. Once you get all the metal out that holds the bypass valve in you will see how its a bit hard to mess things up. I havent taped it yet or got the npt fittings yet but thats next. I did find this which was very http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...rd-Build/page3
