1996 p0303 code help!! Noob
Hello all. This is my first post here as I just acquired my first camaro. Car was overheating when I bought it so my dad did some work to it. He changed the connecting rod bearings and I changed the water pump. The car started right up and it ran fine. Then the fun continues. I was all excited when I noticed my engine light on. It was a p0303 code misfire on cyl #3. So I did some research and replaced the plugs wires and even the ignition coil for that cylinder. My problem still continues. I took it to a mechanic and he said it might be a bad valve. any suggestions are really appreciated. Not in the mood to do internal work on the engine but if I have to I'll do it

If you think its a valve, run a compression test. If its bad, that cylinder will have a considerably lower compression. If its good, try swapping the ignition parts to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows. -
