    Re: What the Heck!?!?!

Well looks like the used EGR assembly I got a couple weeks ago was trash. So I deleted the EGR last night and reset the computer, as of right now all I have are EGR codes and it runs a lot better part throttle, However, I feel like top end power isnt quite there. I have only driven it for a day, so I dont know if its still lean or not. I am going to take it one more time for diagnosis.

Just drive it untill it goes through its cycle. I don't know how many miles its for the o2 sensors but I'd say the minimum is 200 miles. So a full tank of gas. If it does not come back then its fixed just have to wait it out for now

You can also disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect. Should put it back into fuel trim learn and all that fun stuff.

          Re: What the Heck!?!?!

I did disconnect the battery when installing the kit. so Its been almost 200 miles, and I will take it to tyler tomorrow which is 3 hours away from my house. I dont really want to cuz I really want to take the bimmer but I need to see if its fixed or not. I think its running lean in the upper RPMs, but I cannot tell if its lean or now that part throttle is so much better, the top end just kinda dies out. Does anyone have a dyno graph of a stock or slightly modified car that I can see if the power dies up top? at like 5k-6k it feels like there is nothing, but in the midrange it feels good.

it could just be me, since it was running lean before, and now that its not its just a more linear acceleration, but I guess I will soon find out.

That's about normal I think man, mine dies down at around 5-5.5k I have headers cat back k&n and the free ram air mod. Oh and an slp lid... I also have bad o2 sensors though due to the header coatings. I plan on changing them this weekend. I'll fill ya in if that changes anything

Whisper lid, longtubes, tsp rumbler, mail order tune.

Mustang dyno with a 130k mile engine that was sludged and a trans on the way out. Still did better than a stock v6 there by 20ish hp...

okay so its running right then. I dont know how to get more top end out of it. I think it should pull hard from 3-6k, since its a V6, but this looks to be normal behavior of the factory camshaft.

I'll just be explicit lol before I spend any more money on my 3.8 I will go get an LSX lol Intense racing and another 3800 specialist told me that the L26 isnt strong enough to support the power levels I want, without some major upgrades that requires the brand new engine I purchased to come out and be dissected

Must have valve springs and cam and tune, the stock heads don't flow very well so if there is no head work I don't see any benefit shifting that high, with all my mods mine will shift at 6200 rpms but I don't let it shift that high all the time just when I get on it from time to time.

Yup.. built L26 with a .544" lift 232° cam and home ported heads. 140# valve springs, ZZP pushrods, etc... I run out of air at 6500ish, because of my elevation and low duration cam.

Well guys it started misfiring yesterday morning real bad especially under acceleration. The service engine light was blinking while stationary at idle. These pictures were the only thing I was able to observe. any other ideas and what is that in the pics?
