    Re: Ignition Noises

I can't get any pics as kine is stored at my parents place for the winter, but I have 90* boots on all 6. Passenger side is similar too Warshrikes, ran over the top and down and under the front of the headers. My drivers side is ran down and under the back of the headers. Custom cutting/making your own wires isn't as hard as you may think. If you can strip and clamp a wire, you can make your own. Just remember to measure twice and cut once.

So I have noisy coils too. Can burned wires cause the coils to go bad?

        Re: Ignition Noises

Coils won't make any sound, when its bad it will cause a misfire which will make the engine mis. I don't think a wire will make a coil bad but I could be wrong.

          Re: Ignition Noises

Okay so someone with the pacesetters, I need a little more detail! I am having great challenges keeping my wires insulated and away from the pacesetters. I bought some universal heat shield stuff that seems to work but the wires are just not staying where I leave them. I bought the Accel wires with the ceramic boots so they dont melt. They are 90 degrees on all 6. I routed the driver side to the back of the firewall, and As soon as I get them right, they move while driving! I reset my computer and now it idles like it has a .700 lift camshaft lol. Its driving me nuts. Any help out there?

            Re: Ignition Noises

I have Pacesetters but use 10.5mm ZZP wires that are straight boot, if you want them to stay where they are use some zip ties and you should be good. Post up some pics of how your running them , then we can see if your routing them correctly.

                          Re: Ignition Noises

Try uploading to photobucket or your preffered photo hosting site and linking to them.. I'm not getting them either from my phone.

But as ssms stated, fasten the plug wires together and also to something to keep them off of the headers. I believe I looped mine through the wiring harness towards the back of the block to keep them from moving around.
