Front turn signal socket..MELTED

  • Front turn signal socket..MELTED

    I finally found out what was wrong with the front turn signal
    on my 2000 Camaro...the plastic mount for the bulb, actually melted.
    I don't know how this could happen....What now?

    I would just replace the whole thing. Splice those wires and replace them. I live in the desert and this sort thing happens here sometimes.

      Poor electrical connection = high current draw = heat/melting

        The dealer wanted about $80 each...I got two new ones on ebay for $7.10....so that means $160 v. $7.10!!!!

          FINALLY..got the part...new bulb....still no light. Tested the bulb...in back..works fine...followed the wiring colors, soldered ends...no light...this is driving me nuts.
