Hello,
So first I want to say thank you to the forum as I've read quite a bit to get me where I'm at.
So we had the camaro running well and decided to do an under carriage wash......bad bad bad idea. Started sputtering, and revving wildly, then stall....cool it down and then then it started up and we tried to get it home before it shut itself down 1/2 a mile from the house. Cooled it down but couldn't get it started.
Long story short I replaced the crank shaft sensor and got it started..... but now this.
1. The oil level on the dip stick reads half way up the stick, cold or "warm". ( I just changed the oil myself so I know there are less than 5 quarts in there.
2. I have a major ticking noise that seems to be coming from the lifters, but I'm not sure.
I will say I haven't even let the engine fully warm up as I'm afraid of losing the engine.
Questions:
Has anyone heard of this before?
Should I just let it warm up and do a CASE relearn?
Could the oil sending unit have gone out?
Thanks and I up someone can help.
