Is it the same as our like 38-42psi at idle?

A mechanic guy listened to the car and told my parents that it might have lost compression.

I just think that's impossible because the cylinder block has less than 50k on it.

What I got online was 40-47 psi for a 2.8. On ours it like 42-50 psi. A easy compression test can confirm if you are looking at a head gasket or something worse.

Yeah, when I get back to California I'm going to try that, but first I'll test the fuel pump first. Thanks Steve.
