Ok... so... for a long while now my car's oil pressure has been runnig high and idling low (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've read my other posts) So finally the sending unit decided to leak. No biggy... I replaced that, except all that did was keep it high and idle higher than it did... so now... my sending unit is leaking again. Someone mentioned the regulator valve and spring. If I replace the valve and spring will that fix this damn problem? I am willing to spend my weekend replacing the valve, but I'm not gunna do it if it's just gunna keep the oil pressure way too high... HELP! I'm at wits end  Thanks in advance...

if its not the vaule and spring then, its a blockage or the pick up is blocked

Is it leaking form the sensor itself or where the sensor connects to the motor? Like it doesn't have a good seal.

As for the pressure changing it will if you had a leak near the sensor.

BTW check out the FL section sometime v6ers are getting together more and more in the Orlando area.

Yeah... I called my mechanic (the one I use when I can't do something myself) and he pretty sure it's the valve and spring. So I get to do all that this weekend. I hope I don't break the bank w/ the $6 valve and the $2 spring, plus the $2 gasket ;) Cheap fix, just got some work to do ;) Thanks guys... And MustangEater... I'll check out the FL section... thanks man

FlamespikeMST1... are you talking about the oil sending unit? if so... it's right above the oil filter... just look for some electrical connections and it should be right above it (depending on your year)
