  • DRL's aren't functioning

Post title says it all. The turn signals and parking lights are working, but the DRL's aren't shining when the lights are off. Any suggestions on what could fix it? I have no idea what the problem could be.

Either your BCM (Body Control Module) is bad or your CDS cell (light sensor) is shorted. If you had a Camaro, your headlights would be on 100% time too!

Check the fuses in car and in the engine bay. There is a Relay marked DRL in the engine bay fuse panel that's in the engine bay. Maybe it's out of place?

That's funny I didn't notice the DRL one in the engine bay. I checked the one's listed for DRL's inside though.

Maybe the BCM is bad, but all the other functions it controls are working fine to my knowledge.

The DRL/Turn signal bulbs are multiple filament right? Could it be possible that one of the bulbs lost the filament for the DRL and so now both don't work. I know there is problems with turn signals dying when one bulb fails.

EDIT: The bulbs are multifilament. I just got back from replacing the bulbs. It did not help. Looking more like the sensor for emergenc brake position, or the BCM.

          Bizzump.

Can anyone tell me where the DRL module is located, and what it would take to test this or some of the other sensors that have been mentioned?
