  • Arrrgg... Water in Fog lamp... how to remove?

There is a significant amount of condensation in my right fog lamp, and I planned on just quickly unscrewing it, wiping the inside, and putting it back on... well.... I'm looking at this thinking "How in the world?!"... I crawled underneath the car and felt what felt like something I could unscrew...

When I look from above I see a hole where it looks like I'd stick a hex wrench or screwdriver or something... but I'm kind of stuck... Would you happen to know what size of wrench or screwdriver or something?...

It looks like I'd have to take apart the whole front area of my car or something just to get at this fog lamp.

    Help

try a search next time, but you can remove the bulb from the front or back, but dont drop the little pin down into the bumper cover if you remove it from the front. here is a link - http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/fogs.htm

Thanks tons! Doesn't look so hard after all. (sorry about the no search... it just didn't occur to me to do that this time.. I normally look around first... I didn't get enough sleep last night because I was posting all over the net looking for a zaino coupon code to save me money but never found one :( )

As for the "lot of work" lol... I don't care... I like projects and it's fun for me to improve things. I am super OCD about my car man... I'm basically trying to make it like or better than when it was new before I go to college... replacing the dieing window motors... cleaning everything up really nice... I ordered my ultimate Zaino kit yesterday... I'm ordering blackouts for everything (probably) soon.

I am PSYYYYYCHED about how my car look after that Zaino hehe :D

Driving with the lights on while there is moisture in the lamp can cause them to blow because the moisture settles on the bulb itself and heats the water up and poof. Just a little fyi...you should look into resealing the lamp the right way.
