  • Installing water pump pullie

    No one has really said anything about this. I am going to install it...is it as simple as taking off the belt then a couple bolts then bolting the new one in and then putting the belt back on? Like can i just off and put the belt back on by hand?
    2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.

    Mechanically, yes, that's it. I would suggest that you break the bolts loose that are holding the pulley onto the water pump before you remove the belt. It should be easier that way. Are you changing any other pullies also?

      dude, it's the easiest thing to do. Just four small bolts. Remove the belt by using a wrench / bar on the tensioner, swap the pulley, belt back on. Done in like 4 minutes or so.

            ZZP, that is corret...i was just making sure that i didn't need to do anything funny.
            Remove the belt by using a wrench / bar on the tensioner...why on the tensioner?

                      loosen the bolts while the belt is still on. that way the pully will not move.
