  • Clanking noise at idle

    Does anyboy know what is wrong with my car it makes a noise like somthing is hitting at idle and it goes away when i push in the clutch or push the stick towards a gear. what could be wrong and how much would it be t
    o fix?

      from the engine? from the rear? is it loud? is it constant? is it only on cold days? do you have 100,000 miles on your car? is your car black? cause it sounds like something is hitting your exhaust.
      6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

          ok sorry didint put enough details the car is a white camaro 96 3.8 manual tranny uhh it sounds like its commin from the tranny only does it when the car is at normal temp. i think its one of the bearings like wickedfirebird said. how much u think it cost to fix and is it a seious prob?

            i haD this same problem , and im almost positive its the throwout bearing adn im, uh, not doing anythings about it . i had mt mechanic look at it a few times adn he said there is nothing to do. so i hope its not harmful...
