• How to remove this elbow?

Well I finally figured out where my leak was coming from. It is from the elbow running from the Belt Tensioner assembly to the intake manifold. The only problem is that I can't seem to get the elbow out. If anyone knows of a trick to get it, or if there is some magically hidden screw please let me know.

Here is a pic:

Well thanks to everyone giving me advice on how to remove it I decided to go with the fool-proof plan... Break it off. So now my question is if anyone has a part # or part name for this so I can order the damn thing and get the car running.

Yeah, that would be it. It looks like the o-rings and the ends of the elbow have broken off both in the intake and the tensioner assembly. That should be fun to get out of there.
Thanks Nachius.

In order to replace one you are going to have to pull the tensioner off. There are two plastic pipes. Replace both. I used a flathead screwdriver to pry out the broken piece. The 2 part #'s are 24503423 and 12565082. They come with the o-rings. With tax the 2 came out to $10.63

Two plastic pieces? I already have the tensioner off, that is how I found the leak in the first place. The two pieces that you are talking about are the elbow and o-rings? Where did you get the parts from? GM Direct? I am hoping that I can get the parts from NAPA this weekend. If this solves my problem I can't wait to get back to the track. I have not raced my car since I got my new clutch, LSD, gears, and Alum DS.

Its like a 10 minute job. Just pull out the broken plastic elbow and put the new one in and bolt the tensioner back on. the parts around 7 bucks from GM.

Alright, popped in the new elbow today (13$ after tax from local chevy dealer) and their is no more leak so far. Hopefully this is the last of the issues from my lifter swap. Thanks for the part numbers jtigger. BTW 24503423 is the upper one.
