  • 3.4 pully gains (I searched)

I am wondering what the hp gains are for just the crank pully. I plan on putting my system back in so i don't think I want to get the alt pully. any guesses? I am thinking 5-7 hp.

Those numbers sound about right. It is definitely worth the time and money. It is a simple upgrade and pretty inexpensive.

Read the last paragraph. I know him personally and he dyno's his cars a lot. The 3.4 seems to love underdrive pulleys.

I think they are a worthwhile mod for a 3.4

      Good luck. :D

Do the after market pullies weigh less too? I've never delt with them so don't know. Only thing I know is that the water pump pulley is much heavier then it needs to be for the 3.4.

yup, my hypertec pullies (alt & crank) with the belt, and in the box are lighter than the stock crank pully

Yeah, they will work. I would not suggest doing the alt pulley though with the big sound system. The crank would be okay though.

You could also just buy a higher amp alt.

I run a ;arge system and i tried runnin just the crank pulley but my volts would drop too much. So i had to take it off.

Is a new belt required for the crank and/or alt pulleys or can I reuse the old one?

New, smaller belt cuz the pulleys are smaller.
