I have a 2002 v6 camaro, and when i let out the clutch it makes a knocking sound that sounds like its comming from somewhere arround the transmission. This also sometimes happens when i hit a bump or pull into my driveway. I haven't had time to jack it up yet, but could I have broken an engine mount, or is it probly just the transmission crossmember?

no, its not a ratteling sound at all, it sounds like something hitting the metal floor every now and then. My car use to do that too, but it turned out to be something loose inside the cat, and a loose manifold heat shield.Comment
