yeah i wrote that in my programming class whihle the teacher was not looking so it its quite broad. OK I have a 2000 firebird with power windows the window motor it really loud and now it sometimes rolls down but when it does it goes all the way no matter what.

It's not the switch, because it works. It's not the wires because the motor is getting signals/electricity. Now... What causes a window to roll up? Wires, switches, and a motor. Process of elemination makes me believe it's the motor . There is a complete write up on how to do this. I assure you, it will be posted soon.

^^^Thats not really correct, at all.
It could easily be high resistance in the wires, or maybe a cross short. Or yeah maybe its the motor. The only way to be sure is to get a wiring diagram and do voltage drop checks, also check current to the motor.
