  • Car smells like gas from inside....

Umm, yeah, my car has been smelling like gas for a few weeks now. When I mean "Smelling like gas", I mean that the gas can be smelled from within the car. It doesn't always happen though. It only tends to happen after I have driven her back and forth all day. Leaky gas line? Any suggestins would be appreaciated.

Mine has a heavy gas odor inside when I fill the tank up.
It's been doing that since day 1. I have no idea what it is...?

Check your lines going into your fuel rail. The o-rings inside wear out after a while and start to leak. Easiest way is to see if the bottom of the dust covers are wet. Also see if any has leaked to the indentions of the lower intake by the injectors.

Evap. emmisions canister maybe? [assuming our cars have one]. Fuel tank leak? I don't have this problem on my F-body, though.

Check the canister, it is in the fender behind the DS rear wheel. Mine came went bad and that is what happened, when I replaced it it fell out of the holder adn the lines connecting to the the gas tank came off... smelled some more.

If the car smells after driving and disipates or smells after fill up, I would check the canister.
