94 3.4 Maro... wont pass emissions... It was like 800 over, i changed my egr valve and put new plugs and wires in... its about 400 over now.... any suggestions?

There is a dude.. "allInTheRed" or something like that over at camaroz28.com that will be able to help you out.. I think he works at a emmisions testing station..
I will be willing ot bet that its the fact that you have a bad cat.. replace it and you shuld pass..

Just curious, what were your numbers on the test. I took my 3.4L in today, and passed. But I was wondering how it compares to others. You should be able to read them right off the inspection report. For the 25mph, 25% power test I had the following numbers
HC - 15ppm
CO - .01%
CO2- 14.9%
O2 - 20.8%
NOx- 221ppm
The 15mph, 50% power test was as follows:
HC - 58ppm
CO - .1%
CO2- 14.7%
O2 - 20.8%
NOx- 258ppm
Also, didn't Brett have similar troubles a few months ago? Maybe he could share his insight with you.Comment
