I am planning on getting a z28 rear end with 3.42 gears from a junkyard. How much should this cost on average? If anyone has done this how much did you pay for the parts?

AMEN! Look to spending at least $125 to get it shipped to you. Find a local j-yard if possible, and do not spend anymore than $300 (carry out) for it unless they offer to install it too with the price included. And THAT should not exceed $450...TOPS!
