theres that middle knobb, the one between all the way off and all the way on, If you have the headlights on and then turn to the middle notch the headlights will turn off but stay up. I wouldnt leave the car for to long though since the dash lights and stuff stay on unless you dim them to off
well I got a camaro so I dont know about our cars, but my friends 86' 300zx has a switch for the headlights...you could do this by finding the relay for the up and down movements...find out how it works...Im guessing give the relay power lights go up and stay up...take away power they go down..you couldnt get rid of the relay because there are stop switches to prevent trying to go up to high or down to low...only problem with this is when you turn your headlights on your gonna have to raise your headlights automatically, or...just have a switch killing the power to the light motors...let the lights go up, then kill the power to the motor....thats what I would do tell me whatcha think ;)
EDIT: or you could just let it go up and down and just let your warranty take car of it...4 year 36,000 mile I believe..??
umm turn the the knob that pops the lights up all the way, then turn it one click back so it's in the middle, the lights will remain up but they'll be off

To keep your headlights open at night with the key out of the ingintion and headlights off you need to deploy them by turning them on, opening your hood and pulling the output plug from the headlight motor control module (has four wires and is right between the power steering pump reservoir and the battery). Then turn off your lights and remove the key. This works great if you are expecting snow and ice overnight. To reset things, turn on your headlights, connect the plug and then turn off the lights.
Dont do that. All four wires are hot all the time. The control module simply grounds one to each motor for a few seconds to create a potential difference across the DC motor. You need continuous power at all four wires all the time to keep the motor from staying on and burning up.

I have a '96 here, but I know if you turn your lights on, then turn the knob directly to driving lights, the driving and interior lights will stay on, but the headlights will be up, but off. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but its worth a shot.
If you turn on your headlights so they popup, and then turn the swith to parking and turn off your car, the parking lights should automatically shut off in 15 min. so you won't have to worry about a dead battery. The computer senses that they've been on too long.
This is what I do with mine. Not sure if yours is the same.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
