    sometimes when im driving my security light comes on for no reason, hasnt caused problems yet...

      I tried my spare key but, still got the steady light. I believe the steady light means the VATS system is bypassed which means the chip is bypassed. Here is a link I found that may help.

      Now I just use "The Club" for anti-theft
