Hey, this is probly a stupid question but can I use the jetchip performance module designed for a 1998 Camaro 3.8L auto in my 1996 Camaro 3.8L?

If so, hooray, if not why?

    Thanks

remember that when you tell people to get a maft+, they also need a scanning tool (like autotap & a laptop) and a basic understanding of what all it changes.

maft+ can get better results, but its a good 600 dollar investment

jet chip is a lot easier to use.

You can't get a jet chip for your car though, so your going to have to do maft+. Do a search on it for more info, there is plenty hanging around.

You can use the MAFT+ along with track testing. Keep changing it until you start running slower. It's good to have the ATAP, but you still need to make runs to see if it helps or hurts.

This is a rather basic question. I'm moving it to General Tech.
